Our archives bring together contemporary records of some of the historic Kop Hill Climb races, with reports from the very first races in 1910 right through to the last event in 1925.
We have summary details of the winners for each year, for motorcars and motorbikes, including the times posted and the machines involved. Also there are commentaries by Nick Pellett on motorcars and by Hugh Gallagher on motorbikes.
We also have photos and videos from recent Kop Hill Climb revival events. Photos from 2011 onward are on our Flickr page.
We also have professional photography available for 2009 and 2010.
Our YouTube channel documents the event from 2013 onward.
But if you want to see the full, contemporary accounts, then spend some time going through the link opposite. The links open race reports from the day (in PDF format), with wonderfully descriptive accounts and stunning photos taken from early editions of 'Motor Cycling' and 'The Autocar'. The originals are held in the libraries of the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSSC) and Veteran Motor Cycle Club (VMCC) and we are indebted to them for their help in compiling this superb resource.
